#3 A Sight To See
There are a lot of cool things to be found in nature. You only need to have what it takes to go out and discover these for yourself. To ask questions like what would happen if I fired a rocket firework in ice? or what happens when you drop a feather on nitrogen? It is only because of those people who asked such a question that we know the answer.
This man does the same. He asks a question. A long-term natural process of methane which has been quickened due to global warming creates a large amount of methane reserves under the ice. The escape of this ice and the addition of a lit matchstick into this equation creates a sight to see.
#2 To Prepare Coffee
These Methane Bubbles can be found all over the Arctic. Even though global warming is the reason these are increasing in number, the release of this natural methane gas is actually helping to reduce global warming. Methane is a natural greenhouse gas that burns when it comes into contact with flames.
That is the property that this man took advantage of. He went up to a methane bubble and punched a hole through it with a knife. As the methane gas escaped he brought a lit match closer to the escaping gas which caught fire. His objective, was to use this fire to prepare coffee. Did he succeed or was the fire too unruly?
