What Really Happens After You Poop In An Airplane Toilet?

Where Does It Goes?

We always had this thought in our mind that where does our actual poop go? while we thought that it may have landed in the ground like how railways poop goes. Well, you don't have to worry about that if plane poops had gone down then there would be many complains from the people who are living in the ground or they would have assumed that there were poop rains. It may sound hilarious to us but the thing is Airplane toilet has a machine that goes to waste management system and here we will be explained how it goes.

Airplane's Belly

Airplane belly is when your poop goes to airplane's belly that we call as a toilet and in that there are various tanks that help the waste things to consume it all. And the first thing it happens when you flush the toilet and it eventually opens up the bowl that is attached to this toilet system.

How The Suction And Holding Tank works?

Well, I know you must be thinking how large these tanks are and how these going hold the whole wastage? and your answer is that it has the capacity to hold 20 gallons of wastage and overall 100 in commercial planes. In this have you ever wondered what happens with that whole wastage? well, they have to clean and emptied this thing every time the plane lands and then the worker comes to clean them and emptied it on a truck.

James Kemper

This airplane toilet has been invented by James Kemper in the year 1970s and till now this invention is much in use. And before this system, there was a sloshing bucket where people had to poop in that and in case of turbulence it gets spilled in the bathroom or thrown out of the midair. Well, after the invention Boeing was the first company to use this system and it went years to get used to adapt this system on commercial planes.

Blue Liquid

Well, to clean the toilets and to flush all the wastage they put blue liquids or it is inside the system that cleans and suction up the whole process of cleaning it. The blue liquid works as a deodorant and purifies it by grabbing all the wastage which are a drop in it.

Closed Wastage System

Once you flush all the wastage it all goes to the closed wastage system and there is a crew that has a truck type system that cleans up all the wastage whenever the plane lands.

The Truck

Well, at first we have explained how a truck comes to clean the plane whenever the plane lands and the wastage truck takes all the excessive wastage but what happens after that is still a mystery to us. Maybe where our home toilet wastage goes that must be the answer to it or we have to find it more.
