Rasputin took advantage of the irresolute Tsar and his depressed wife to make place in the royal family. He claimed that he could cure their son who was suffering from hemophilia.

Rasputin made his position in the royal family so strong that he was free to do anything. However his cunning behaviour slowly got revealed before the nobles.

It was 17 December 1916 when Rasputin was invited for dinner at a noblemans house and there he was served tea laced with cyanide. But it had no effect. They then decided to shoot him again and again until he was dead.
