Selfies are the new thing and we know it! Everyone's taking them everywhere! In fact, they've become so common that the Oxford dictionary had to add the word 'selfie' into the dictionary.
But there's a right time and place to click one.

But some people just don't get it and you know what the result is? In 2015, 27 people died while taking selfies. We're not lying.
Off the top of my head, a teenager in India died while trying to click a selfie near railway tracks. He was trying to get in the perfect pose when he tripped and couldn't get off the tracks in time.
Today's story isn't a selfie death but it surely doesn't happen everyday as the title would suggest. Don't stop reading!

Nidia Garcia used to be a respected officer of the Mexico police department. Used to be. She loved clicking selfies too much!

Nidia took a topless selfie while on duty! To make matters worse, she was in uniform AND ARMED!
The consequences? According to spokesperson for Nuevo Leon state government, 'She was immediately reprimanded and is currently at the mercy of the state's internal police Honour and Justice Commission.'

#1 Damn Right!
Nidia issued a sincere apology in her statement.
'I was wrong in letting myself be photographed in my hours of work while still wearing the uniform of an officer. I want to ask a huge apology to the secretary of security and Justice of proximity and more to my municipality general Escobedo for this immoral act on my part.
I feel disgusted by the great damage caused and the damage done mainly to my two daughters, followed by my husband, my parents, brothers and entire family.'
