Tech and books

Technology has everything, even ebooks, which are a replacement for books and convenient enough to carry along anywhere and everywhere. But have you considered living like a past human, breathing in the scent of the new and old books which feels so real and nice, it's like consuming that story fully, it takes to another world.

Experiencing books

Book reading is not just reading, it is a tradition. We are lucky that there are people in this world who give books the first preference and know how important it is to keep it that way. This is a nonprofit organization for Little Free Library, for the present and the future generations to experience books, old-school.

The Goal

Their goal is, “Inspiring a love of reading, building community, and sparking creativity by fostering neighborhood book exchanges around the world.” There are many mini-libraries that have popped up around the world and so far, they have made, 75,000 of them, in 88 countries. Which is quite a big number?

‘Little Tree Library'

This family from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, decided to carry the legacy of book reading and mini library and took it a step further with adding creativity to it. Sharalee Armitage Howard, a librarian, artist, and former bookbinder, came up with the creativity and she decided to stump the 110-Year-Old Tree which is near her home and made it a ‘Little Tree Library’.

The Marvelous Tree

It was first hallowed out and then placed an attractive roof. Now it looks like it came right out of Harry Potter Movies. It not only looks quite magical but it is also one of the coziest libraries. Sharalee wrote on her wall “OK, this project isn’t quite finished… but I can’t wait to share it. We had to remove a huge tree that was over 110 years old, so I decided to turn it into a little free library (which I’ve always wanted). Here it is (minus some cleanup, vegetation, and trim work)!”
