#9. Recycled shoe box
Newton Running is an American company that is striving to produce shoes that have a very low impact on the environment. The company also wanted to look at the way the shoes were packaged and see if there was any alternative to the conventional shoe boxes. Newton worked with TDA Advertising and Design to develop a new package that is less box and more carton. The package is a molded design that uses 100% post consumer recycled material. The shape of the carton fits the shoe but of course there are no sharp edges nor shoes paper and things like that. Pretty interesting and nature friendly way of packing shoes.

#8. Tequila gun-shaped bottle
The Hijos de Villa Tequila gun is now available for way funnier cause. The toy is shaped like a gun, but instead of containing bullets, it is loaded with 200 ml of genuine Mexican tequila. So 'shoot' me a glass of tequila.

#7. Parmesan cheese in a pencil shape packaging
The German advertising agency Kolle Rebbe designed chunks of Parmesan cheese shaped like pencils. Parmesan flakes are shaved off with a manual pencil sharpener, right over your pasta. This must be the coolest way of adding some parmesan to your spaghetti.

#6. Meat shorts packaging
OK, we know that this is nothing compared to Lady Gaga's meat dress from few years ago, but you have to admit that once you see this packaging you would get curious. Internet-shop Weird Clothing (of course, what other name) offers shorts with meat print. The appropriate package has a "Human meat" label on it. Oh well if Lady Gaga can do it, you can do it too, except you won't smell like real meat.

#5. Vodka bottles that you can peel off
The famous Russian Smirnoff Caipiroska vodka bottle now can be peeled off if you want to actually open it. Designed by JWT Brazil, the fruity vodkas come in a peelable package, which imitate the skin of each drink's respective fruit. Pretty smart and actually cool especially for people who like to peel of bottle stickers.

#4. Bread packaging
This snack is not quite politically correct, but it's pretty clever. Even though some people may see this as a racist way of selling things, the designer thought it was cool. Here's Black Melon Bread from Japan, featuring the character Afro Tanaka from the anime series by Masaharu Noritsuke.

#3. Coffin shaped cigarette box
If this doesn't make you stop smoking, what will? Even though smokers won't quit no matter what (only till their health is completely destroyed), still J. Reynolds decided to design this creepy yet eye-opening box. Daily people are dying throughout the world of diseases caused by smoking. This package concept shows how close this problem is to us. Regular smokers are carring this problem in his/her pocket every day, reminding themselves of the consequences .

#2. Break-it CD box
This is the best thing for stressed people who feel like punching someone. If you are one of those people then you shall like a CD package like this. It is made of potato starch and in order to open it, you will have to break it first. And yes, original purpose of this package is to let you break it. Who was the genius who came up with this? He or she needs all the awards.

#1. New York City Spaghetti Packaging
Alex Creamer was a student at the University of Central Lancashire, UK when he came up with this brilliant idea of a New-York centric packaging for spaghetti. He created this wonderful box after a challenge at his college was announced for creating a package for 1 of 5 difficult items i.e. eggs, a rose, custard powder, spaghetti or marbles. And of course he chose spaghetti. The spaghetti sits on a 3D model of the Chrysler building that was modeled on CAD by his friend Ben Thorpe. Just put the spaghetti in the Chrysler Building shaped inside up and there you have it - a very spaghetti New York City skyscraper.
