#10 A reversal of the magnetic poles cannot create catastrophic consequences
Scientifically it has been proven that the Earth's magnetic field drops in every thousand years. It then gradually increases back. this is a natural phenomenon. It has happened before and will happen again, there is no calamity in it.
#9 Sunspot activity is high in 2012, but does not have any effect on our planet.
The sun expels some energy every 20yrs or so. Thankfully the Earth's atmosphere is such that the sun particles are reduced to dust before it hits our surface. The only problem can be bit of disturbance on radio. Similar sunspots have occurred in 1990, 1968, and will occur in future also.

So we hear the poles will shift, even switch places. But in reality this is impossible. The gravitational forces on our planet are so strong that it is impossible for the poles to shift base. Newton's laws suggest there is a possibility extremely rare and dramatic if there is a collision with a giant comet. This is extremely unlikely in any future date.

We have heard of evidence of global warming and depletion of Ozone layer as scientific evidence that the world is coming to an end. But in reality any change in climatic conditions happens very slowly and is never instant in nature. So the earth will not perish because of global warming.
#6 Religious, fanatical prophecies suggest the end is near.
Funnily humans tend to believe prophecies even when evidence suggest otherwise. This is what is happening regarding the end of the world theory.
Many individuals who themselves have been unable to understand real meaning of ancient texts are crying out loud that the world will come to an end. And the common man believes him, unconditionally.

We hear of Jesus coming back to protect us exciting as it seems a close look at the cryptographic codes suggests they have been carefully and deliberately altered.
To make people believe that he world is coming it an end. Using complex methods the codes have been deciphered wrongly to say world is nearing its end, in fact this is just trick that has been successfully fooling a l t of people.

So we hears of a comet heading this way but in reality our earth has endured so many changes and has been able to stay on keep life alive. Indeed the earth is very hardy and cannot be so easily destroyed. And with science so advanced any such event can be managed easily.
#3 Doomsday prophecies have consistently been proven wrong.
Is this the first doomsday theory you have heard? Really if you follow the trend here have been many such previous predictions all proven wrong. Year 2012 is also a wrong prediction.

This famous French physic who has been credited for predicting Hitler, has been wrongly framed for doomsday in 2012. Nostradamus never spoke of the end of the world, he just mentioned regarding some solar changes that too not in 2012 Yet his name has been wrongly used for popularity.
#1 The Mayan Prophecy does not say world is about to end
With a few large sound terms like the long count calendar people have been wrongly using the Mayan philosophy to say end is near. Mayan Colander only speaks of some astronomical changes on December 21 2012, when the Earth begins to use sixth sun in winter solstice. This does not mean end of the world or anywhere near such event.
