#2 Debarked logs
Ever heard about the flooring that uses debarked logs? The technique that we are about to show you uses a debarked log either found naturally or cut from logged trees and are stacked and mortared. So this family that used this technique started by sweeping and mopping, then planning out the arrangement of their wooden discs.
The most important thing here is the wood that they used. The wood they used was legally gathered from their state forest. #1 The Final Thing
The final product that you'll see now is brilliant. After running each piece through the chop saw (set at 1"), they sanded the discs down and glued them directly to the floor. Entire floor was covered in the beautiful cordwood. After all these steps, they applied a light coat of polyurethane to the surface of the disks. They did this to prevent the grout from adhering to the tops.
Finally, after grouting the spaces and applying more coats of polyurethane, their stunning floor was complete. And this is what they ultimately came up with, Isn't it beautiful?
