Growing up we all have had our share of trends. The childhood cartoon show trends, the high school trends....the college trends and so on. Even now there's a trend for everything we do!
Lately, there has been a trend among teenagers that has caused quite a stir. Good or bad...your call.
#4 Changing the color of your eyes...
And no, I don't mean through contact lenses or something. People are actually tattooing their eyeballs....permanently. Yup, you read that right.
I was shocked just as you are. It looks creepy as hell. But that's a personal opinion. People are free to make their own choices and everything. My concern is if the world is ready for something like this.....just when the world was getting 'okay' with the thought of tattoos.

The credits for the start, idea and implementation of this trend goes to a US art enthusiast named Laura Cobra.
She says, 'There used to be a private body modification convention that happened every few years in Canada,' says Cobra. 'An old friend had photoshopped a picture of his eyes to look blue like in Dune. I told him, I think I can do that for real.'

Cobra after coming up with the idea began experimenting with eyeball tattooing and the trend soon picked up.
The entire procedure is sort of like a commitment. Not to mention highly painful with high chances of going permanently blind. But yet people just can't stop themselves from getting their eyeballs tattooed.

The technique behind this eyeball tattooing is the injection of a pigment directly into the eyeball. Then, later after some time the pigment settles beneath the eyeball's thick top layer. With just one small injection, a quarter of the eye's white is replaced by the pigment color which is present for life long.
