#5 Pulling A Rabbit Out Of A Hat
If you want to learn this trick, take a rabbit, a high hat, a table covered with a sheet and a piece of black material. Firstly connect all 4 parts with the piece of black material. Then put the rabbit inside a sack with which you will attach the hook that is under the table. The table will be in front on which you will perform the trick. The sheet should be kept in such a way that the rabbit is hidden properly. Before starting, show the empty hat to the audience to make them feel that there is nothing inside.
Now put the hat on the table, with its open part touching the surface of the table. The most important part of the trick begins now. Insert the rabbit inside the hat with simple hand movements by lifting the hat quickly. Keep moving around the table to distract the audience. Now lift your hat and show the rabbit.
#4 Bending A Spoon
To perform this trick successfully hide a small silver coin in your palm. Hold the coin such that only its tip is visible. Place the coin above the spoon and handle to make the audience feel that you are simply holding the spoon.
Now press the oval part of the spoon against the table and make an impression before the public that you are putting a lot of effort to 'bend' the spoon. In the mean time drop the handle from the back and show the tip of the coin slowly. It will make the audience feel that the spoon is actually bending.
#3 Making Smoke Rise From Your Fingers
For doing this trick you need a matchbox. Take the side that is used to burn the matches. Now separate the section that lights of cardboard and let one line remain for striking. Fold it and let it burn. Collect the pieces after burning.
It is actually phosphorus that you have found. It is the secret behind your trick. Now rub it between your thumb and index fingers. For making the smoke just rub your fingers together. After the performance always wash your hands.
#2 Making A Person "Levitate"
At the beginning of this trick, a girl with a long dress lies on a table. While doing this the folds of her dress fall down. The magician proceeds to make her "levitate" on the table. For making the trick successful, it is necessary that the audience should believe that due to magic the girl is held in the air.
In reality it is done by a special lifting mechanism. To add excitement, to the trick the magician passes a hoop over the girl's body. The hoop must be large in size so that it passes without touching the lifting mechanism. The only thing that should be kept in mind is to stand in such a way so that the rod that is holding the girl up is concealed.
#1 Making A "Zig Zag Lady"
For doing this wonderful trick you will need a few boxes of 35 cm, and a moving platform of 20 cm. As the female helper enters inside the bottom box, she stands on a spring-operated hatch. This hatch has an opening into an empty compartment, inside the platform. As the magician shuts all the boxes she slips down inside the empty compartment and sits cross-legged. The upper three boxes have two openings in which one real and the other is false.
When the boxes are kept on each other, they form a door by which the helper enters inside. While through the false openings niches are revealed of about 5 cm deep. Inside these niches mannequin parts are kept of various parts of the real girl. The outfit is kept the same as that of the real girl. As the performance commences, the magician shuffles the boxes to confuse the audience. When the magician proceeds to open the boxes, the audience just see the jumbled body of the girl. But they are actually the mannequin parts, that are kept inside false openings!
