Ever since Prince George was born we have all been in love with the little Royal.

Back in time, the upper crust aristocratic society placed their little boys who were within two years in dresses. Just like the one Prince William of Gloucester is wearing above.

And when the boys turned 3, they underwent something called Breeching. Which is nothing but when they started to wear shorts. Here is Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II.

The boys were put right away into shorts and the dresses went out of practice. Here is Prince Harry and Prince William as young boys in shorts.

The Royal Family has a lot of rules and traditions to follow.

One reason is that they wanted their children to be viewed as little children and not as little men.

It is said that putting little boys in trousers is more of a suburban practice.

Since the Royal family is NOT suburban, they keep to those values laid out by their predecessors and place their little boys in shorts.
