#3 The Birth Of His Children
Beatie is a gentleman who was born and raised in Hawaii as Tracy LaGondino. As a teenager, Tracy was a female model. At the age of 10, she started to identify herself more with the other gender and went through a transition of living life as a man at the age of 23. His fame came with his decision of getting pregnant using a sperm donor since his spouse was infertile. Beatie, in 2013, went through a gender change. He kept his internal female reproductive organs as he wanted to have biological children. He married Nancy Gillespie on February 5th, 2003.
Beatie gave birth to his first son in Berlin. He didn't want to be named as the mother of the child which is mandatory in Germany, and hence gave birth at his home. The state spokesman for the Berlin Senate Administration for Internal Affairs said, "The person in question did not want to appear as a mother but as a father on the birth certificate and that request has been honoured."

Guinness World Records in 2010, named Beatie the "World's First Married Man to Give Birth."
It became a big news since this was the first time in Europe that a transgender man gave birth to a baby boy through sperm donation. His situation was first described by the LGBT magazine, The Advocate, in his own words.
For the protection of his son, details of the sperm donor wasn't revealed. In fact, the Germany welfare state intends to keep a close look at the child in case of any psychological problems stemming from his birth. The documentary 'Pregnant Man'(2008) documented the final weeks of Beatie's pregnancy and became the highest rated show for the year.
#1 Divorce From His Wife
He filed for a Divorce in 2012 from his wife Nancy. Due to the marriage not being seen as valid in Arizona, the judge refused to allow the Divorce and also because he wasn't sure how to proceed ahead in a case where the man has given birth to three children.
However, after a long hearing process, Beatie was granted his Divorce and the marriage was considered legal.
