One day, Natalie Richard’s daughter comes at home stating that her school authority says that she cannot say no to a guy if he asks her to dance. She thought that her daughter misunderstood but as she kept insisting, Natalie said that he would talk to her daughter’s teacher.
The Teacher Confirmed About It
When she talked to her daughter’s teacher, she was shocked to know when the teacher confirmed it. And to top it all, even the principal of the school confirmed the same.So, in Utah, in Weber county, all the parents have gathered together to show reluctance to this elementary school. When taken up with Weber County School District, they told the parents this rule is real and it was introduced to promote inclusivity.
Such Restrictions Should Not Be Imposed
As per Findlay, before the dance, initially, this rule stated that students had to fill out a card stating five people with whom they want to dance and inform if there is someone that they are uncomfortable with. But as per Richard, this thing is having a negative impact on girls who now think that they cannot say no to boys.
