P*rnhub Was Hacked Recently. Checkout What The Hackers Found

#7 The Website

It doesn't matter whether you visit this website or no but you cannot deny the fact that you know about this website called P*rnhub. Such is the reputation of this amazing (if I can say so) website.

It started 9 years ago but is considered to be one of the most popular websites today. In fact, it's gotten so big that the company is aiming to shoot a film titled S*xploration, the first ever adult video to be made in space.

#6 It Got Hacked

This popular website got hacked recently. A small team of hackers, which included Dario WeiBer, computer science student Ruslan Habalov, and an individual that goes by the username cutz, discovered flaws on P*rnHub that would expose the user database and browsing habits.

Keep reading ahead to know what they found.

#5 It Allowed Them To...

So this team of hackers, gained remote code execution. It allowed them to Dump the complete database of p*rnhub.com including all sensitive user information.

It also helped them in tracking and observing user behavior on the platform. Now this is quite an information.

#4 The Distortion

They even leaked the complete available source code of all sites hosted on the server. They distorted the entire buildup of the website.

#3 Two zero-day vulnerabilities

You must be wondering what a Zero Day Flaw is. It is a vulnerability that is unknown to the vendor. The hackers discovered a couple of them. Dangerous, right?

#2 Any Security?

But this incident forced me to think one simple thing. How can a website as big as p*rnhub can't have a security system?

Well, turns out that just a few months ago the site announced a bug bounty program with HackerOne. The program offers to pay out a reward up to $25,000 for "skilled security researchers" who uncover vulnerabilities on the site.

#1 White-Hat Hackers

Luckily, the hackers were white-hat hackers. These are the type of hackers who hack for good. They informed P*rnHub developers of the issues so that they could improve security. And, they got paid handsomely for this.
