One of the zillion questions is on a telephone, why does ABC start on the number 2 and not 1? Ever wondered why?

It is a very valid doubt, right? Every time you pick up your phone, you see that the letters are written from number 2 to 9. Well, there is a very logical explanation for that now.
Reason
In the early days the number 1 was reserved for long distance calls and 0 was reserved for the telephone operator. And so these two numbers could not be at the start of your number.
So whenever they distributed the numbers or planned on in-scripting letters on the phone, number 1 and 0 were out of question.
