#5 Hopeful Mother…!
Kristen Williams from Cincinnati, Ohio was a single school teacher who wanted to cherish the feeling of being a mother.
She thought of international adoption and to adopt a baby girl paid $28000, but in vain. The U.S. department of State considered Nepal fraud & hence banned adoptions.
Kristen’s hope of becoming a mother shattered.
#4 Gift of God
This strong and smart lady didn’t give up on her beliefs and one day she came across a 5-year-old girl from India. The girl was named Munni and had various scars all over her face and body as she was abused by her previous caretakers.
Kristen was so overwhelmed by the new spark and says that she was everything she had looked for.
“I saw her face, and it was like an electric current just shot out and hit me in my heart.â€
#3 The Garbage Pile- Home for abandoned kids
Munni was brought to the home in 2013. Kristen after six months though to adopt another child when she met an abandoned 3-year-old Roopa, in garbage heaps whose nose and lips and been eaten off by animals and insects.
Though unfortunately but in India, it’s an everyday activity.
#2 Humanity is still alive
In 2016, the lives of the mother and her brave daughters were moved when the panel of The Doctors was impressed by Kristen’s story and decided to help.
The Doctors reconstructed Roopa’s nose by surgery and Munni’s scar were treated by cosmetic surgery transforming the two beautiful souls.
