Possibility of getting pregnant soon

"Everyone has this idea that they go off birth control and have this hall pass for a while, and that's not the case," tells Dr. Lauren Streicher, OB-GYN. So plan carefully if you are in no mood for a baby.
But if you do want to get pregnant, don't stress if it doesn't happen right away.
The normal ovulation of a woman starts within a month or two after stopping the pill. Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, OB-GYN and clinical professor at Yale School of Medicine, suggests her patients wait two months before really trying. Having a baby won't be difficult at that time but it will not be easy to figure out whether you are actually ovulating or not making it difficult for the doctor to give you a due date.
Your period might be a little wonky for a while.
You might not have that normal period bleeding to used to have for a few months after you stop taking the pills. "For many people it's two to three months before it gets back to totally normal," says Minkin. So, don't worry if you are not having a normal period.
Your periods will be different at both times
If you ever had a time when periods meant cramps, acne, mood swings and off mood and it was all gone after using birth control pills, make yourself prepared for all those to disturb you back. The birth control pills can manage the trash that comes with periods.
It doesn't take a while to "flush the hormones" out of your system.

Your natural hormonal cycle is run by the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland, which is suppressed when you're on hormonal birth control, explains Minkin. So, its not that the pills hormones are there but that the hormonal system of your body takes time to get back to normal.
If you were on that birth control shot, it will take about six months to have that normal fertility system back
The Depo-Provera shot is something that you take to get pregnancy protection for three months. So, if you stop taking that shot, it will take around six months for your fertility system to get back to normal.
You might get hornier in the middle of your menstrual cycle
This is also something that will be new after you stop taking birth control. You might end up getting hornier in the middle of your cycle. That's because your natural menstrual cycle includes a spike in testosterone right around ovulation, which can make you want to have sex, says Minkin. People on birth control report lower sex drive.
If you don't get your period within three months, check with your doctor.
This is a thing to worry if you are not pregnant. It might be that your birth control might have been messing up with up the symptoms of something else, says Streicher, like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or a thyroid problem — both of which could mess with your periods.
