#3 Pressure Of Being Tan
The bells first started ringing when her father Charles, noticed an odd sore forming on her nose that turned the young woman's life upside down.
Jade stays in Tennessee and there, being tanned is considered attractive. So Jade worked really hard to become tan. In fact, she started using a tanning bed regularly. "There was so much pressure to be tanned - everyone wanted to be bronzed," Jade explains. But what this habit of using tanning bed regularly did to her is unbearable.

#2 The Result Of Her Habit
It was in 2014 that Jade began to grow concerned over the clear spot her father had noticed on her nose when it began to burst and refused to heal. She immediately consulted the Doctor.
What Doctor revealed later shocked everyone. Jade was suffering from Skin Cancer. She was transferred to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville to consultant with specialists.
On the day of her surgery, surgeons had to cut out a dime-sized hole out of her right nostril in her nose, as a result of her tanning habit.

"I want teenagers to see the photo of the hole in my nose so that they know what could happen," Jade says. "I used to have a sunbed in my house, but I've thrown it in the trash. I didn't want to sell it, because I didn't want anybody else to go through what I went through. I definitely regret the years of tanning, but in a way I saved my skin at a young age because I got cancer." She added.
Thankfully, her cancer was recognized early and was treated on time. In order to fill the dime-sized hole in her nostril, doctor took the flesh from her chest. She now has a six-inch long scar there. It's high time now, give up on all your unnecessary habits.
