#4 Google's Secret Project
Our sources reveal that Google has acquired license to install and test radio transmitters at Spaceport for next couple of years. This project is undertaken by Google in order to test millimetre-wave technology which they wish to commercialize soon.
The appropriate application that has been filed with the FCC suggests that Google intends to install about 100kW radio transmitter at Spaceport America which is a New Mexico-based hangar. This is the place where Google is running its secretive project called SkyBender.
The main purpose of this secret project is aimed at using solar power drones to test millimetre-wave radio.
#3 The Confidential Document
The documents available related to the project are highly confidential and does not reveal Google's ultimate objective. The only thing mentioned in the document is that Google is conducting field tests in the 2.5GHz, 5.8GHz, 71-76GHz and 81-86GHz bands. This means Google is testing millimeter-wave technology at Spaceport.
The project is fairly expensive. Google is shedding approximately $1,000 a day to test its secretive technology using 15,000 square feet of hangar area at Spaceport. Incidentally, this space was originally designated to cater Virgin Galactic's spaceflight program.

#2 5G Internet
If sources are to be believed, this is nothing but Google's ambitious effort to beam 5G Internet through solar powered drones. This project is being managed by Google Access which is also responsible for Google's Gigabit Fiber service in the US.
Another important detail obtained from the Google's FCC application is that, Google hardware engineer, Paul Husted is the main technical coordinator for this project.

Google's Lawyer said, "The technology under development is highly sensitive and confidential in nature. The release of such information would provide valuable insight into Google's technology innovations and potential business plans and strategies."
He further continued, "Public disclosure would jeopardize the value of the technology under examination by enabling others to utilize Google’s information to develop similar products in a similar time frame."
