Where women are living in a world with some unrealistic and unnecessary beauty standards. Frankly speaking, I being a woman admit that most of us usually get tricked by social media and advertisements and start believing that things like body hair, body odour, and wrinkles are not normal.
But recently a fitness blogger, Morgan Mikenas decides to ditch those beauty standards and has stopped shaving her body hair.

She did this with a pure heart and explains the reason behind the decision to ditch razor by sharing a 12-minute video on YouTube entitled " Why I don't shave".
She said, "I'm very passionate about my body hair, and how the decision of not to shave them has really helped me to inspire other people into embracing natural beauty."
She has more than 7,000 followers on her Instagram page, where she posts about her incredible fitness regime and transformations after she took up bodybuilding.

The fitness fan recalled an incident when she was a student, aged 11 or 12, where other girls use to laugh at her hairy legs while she was wearing gym shorts.
Morgan said, "I get so upset with these bullies and use to ran straight away home to my mom crying and asking if she could teach me how to shave."
Stay tuned with the story as her journey doesn't ends here...

She also shared another incident which left her to think twice.
She said, during that phase when she had been working in a childcare and on the days they have to take the kids for swimming. The little children are as young as kindergarten and though being from first grade, they started pointing out her hairy legs asking why she didn’t shave.
She found herself terribly sad that how the children at such a young age have developed their opinions on this type of vanity?
She said, ‘What does that say if that is how these kids are being taught?’
She commented on how children in the third grade are already beginning to shave their legs.

Morgan said, though in the past when she didn’t shave her legs it would make her feel dirty and unfeminine. So, she would remove her body hair in order to make herself feel more beautiful. But now she loves her body hair and enjoys being her most natural self.
'Why would I remove something that mother nature has put on our bodies,’ she said.
She feels that there is more of a spiritual connection to hair than we might realize.

She also explained that part of what helped her stay so comfortable and confident was the fact that her boyfriend remained fully supportive and liked the way she is supporting mother nature.
‘He thinks that I look beautiful either way,’ she said.

She said that she can't forget the day when boys from her school make fun of her and say rude things. But now, she realizes that it's just hair.
She then added, "Why should we let those things make us feel like we need to remove the hair from our bodies?"
She explained that she’s been seeing a lot more women being comfortable rocking their body hair and it’s helped her to stay on board.

Her bold decision led her down the path to self-love and completely changed her life. In one of her Instagram posts where she shows off her fuzzy legs, she writes,
‘When you have nothing to hide you can freely be yourself, there is a profound peace/confidence you will emanate to the world that will inspire others.’
It’s refreshing to see girls like Morgan standing up and challenging beauty standards. Hopefully, her confidence and encouragement will inspire other young girls to feel comfortable in their own skin.
