December 2017 video
The National Geographic updated this story recently and they drew a precise connection between the climate change and this starving polar bear. They stated it clearly in the caption for their December 2017 video about the animal.

The filmmakers from Sea Legacy say, “This is what climate change looks like.†Even though science constantly preaches about the connection between climate change and polar bears starving to extinction, we are not really serious about the topic. Now that we know what it is like to see a species leading to extinction because of our mistakes, we can finally know the seriousness of Global warming harming our ecosystem.
Agonising Moment
These filmmakers from the Sea Legacy have shared the video of this disappointing and agonizing moment, right when the Polar bear was spotted starving as it was searching for food. They found the bear on the Baffin Islands in Canadian.
Filmed the moment
It looked like its skin was dropping and its bones were visible on its body. The photographer Paul Nicklen grew up in northern Canada and was used to seeing bears all the time but this one just broke his heart. He told the National Geographic “We stood there crying filming with tears rolling down our cheeks.â€
The Video
They felt helpless standing there. They wanted to go and help the bear with some meat but they didn’t have a tranquilizer revolver. So they decided that they could at least film this moment to spread awareness of the cruel reality. Here’s a video showing the harsh reality that our ecosystem is going through.
