#7 The Cat-Dog Saga
Well, I thought cat and dog were female and male of the same animal. But, you see, they're different species altogether and I'm a fool! *Chuckles*

#6 The Aunt Carol
I used to get calls from Aunt Carol and my parents even used to get packages from her! They went to the office to write letters to her and sometimes we'd even pay her bills! I thought she must be one of my kind-hearted relatives! But, well, later, it turned out that Aunt Carol was a parent code for weed!

#5 Bank Account
I used to believe that people with bank accounts usually get a small pigeon hole kind of space where they keep their bills and when they require some of the money, they take it out of the same pigeon hole! But soon, it turned out that it wasn't how it is!

#4 Black Market
Well, in my childhood I was under the impression that black market is some kind of a physical market wherein we get all illegal things that are black!

#3 France Is Bacon
When I was young my father used to tell me, "Knowledge is power- Francis Bacon", I understood it as, " Knowledge is power, France is Bacon". It took me decades to finally get it right. For all this while, I kept on finding the surreal linkage between the two statements, and especially the meaning of the second part!
But well, you know, it isn't like it!

#2 Oh Yams!
I think I have had an amazing brain! I had thought yams were animals, more specifically a crossbreed between a Yak and a Ram. That sounded correct in my mind until my 10th-grade honors English class told me otherwise. My brain just went crazy upon learning it!

#1 The Marshmallow Trees
When I was little my grandmother had a little houseplant, she used to put marshmallows on the ends of the branches whenever we visited and we would pluck it from there and eat it. When she left she would put mini marshmallows where we had picked the big ones and told us we had to wait for those ones to grow back. So until I was a lot older I thought that there were marshmallow trees!
