Stacy and John
Stacy and John Lemonds’s home was built around the 1940s which is why its electrical wiring had worn out. And the heat was not working as it used to which is why their house was inspected. After which they were not allowed to live in their own house until the problem was being detected.
Joshua Mathews
The couple was out of funds and they could only hope to put their faith and pray for a miracle. This situation was uncalled for but there was a solution for their issue. They received a text message from an electrician named Joshua Matthews.
Dane Electric
Joshua is a veteran soldier who worked at Dane Electric. He reached to them as soon as he heard their issue. The Lemonds didn’t really go out, telling everyone about their problems but Joshua wanted to help them so that they could spend their winter in peace.
Major Issues
Joshua then inspected the house and detected some major issues. Some of the big machines needed fixing, or to be changed. He then contacted the OG&E to have a better look and they confirmed that the house was at liability to catch fire.
The help
By the time, Joshua needed some time to get things done right, the couple had to live in a hotel. Their prayers and the people who prayed together(people from their church) were kind enough to fund the stay. Joshua helped them with the wiring replacement and made more efforts with his friends to make sure that the couple’s house was once again, safe from fire.
Act of kindness rewarded
This act of kindness makes an inspiring story for the people around the world to be kind and help people out, in their hour of need. This story of Joshua’s good deed was noticed by Oklahoma's News 4 and they wanted to reward him for the same. And so the couple helped them to scheme the plan and when Stacy called Joshua home for a bogus re-inspection. This is when Joshua was left in utter surprise.
