Celtic Women Perform A Face Off Which Left The Audience In Awe

Mairead Nesbitt and Cora Smith

These women, Mairead Nesbitt, and Cora Smith are award-winning violinists who performed a duet and won all the audiences hearts. Hyde Park in London was lit with their performance. Mairead plays a combination of Irish music and classical music. Whereas, Cora's style is a little different yet equally impressive.

Their achievements

Mairead has been nominated for an Emmy and a Grammy as both an artist and a composer and has received some of the awards. Cora has won Eurovision song contest. She has also performed a piece of a renowned violinist, Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance."

Their performance

The crowd was eager to watch the two ladies who were clutching their electric violins, ready to perform when they entered the stage. They stood apart from each other covering the two halves of the stage.

They played together

Mairead started the performance and then Cora chimed from the other side and then they started teasing the Celtic song and took turns as solos. They then played together as the tempo rose up!

They battled

As the beat rose up the women covered the stage and vigorously played the Celtic song a beat above. Even though they were two different artists performing they performed as a team. It was a battle but it looked like a team.

The video

It might have taken hours of practice and overtime rehearsals to get this awesome duet to perform so well. The precision in their performance shows the kind of artists they are. The video below is evidence of the awesome performance!
