Dr Daniel McNeely
The little boy had too much to deal with but the team of doctors working on his case were wonderful, especially Dr Daniel McNeely who did something very sweet for little Jackson before the last procedure would take place.
Stuff toy
Jackson had bought his stuff toy, teddy to the procedure room and asked Dr. McNeely to perform the procedure on the teddy first. Dr McNeely cared for little Jackson since he learnt of his condition from when he was an infant. McNeely just couldn't say no.
McNeely said...
He said, "I thought if there was something I could do to help make him feel better, it seemed like a simple gesture and I was only too happy to oblige."
Nurses prepare...
McNeely asked the nurses to prepare the table for the procedure and then started to stitch the bear with the leftover stitches from Jackson's procedure.
Compassionate gesture
When Jackson's father learned of this incident he said, "He's one of the nicest human beings I've ever met." McNeely was praised for his compassionate gesture and won many hearts on social media.
