Amanda, a 911 dispatcher worked there for about eight months, and one day she received a bizarre call that changed everything in her life and titled her as a bonafide hero.
This incident happened when, on one regular day, Amanda was working in her usual shift in Tuscola County, Michigan, she received a concerning call from a cell phone. During that call, she could clearly hear one couple arguing with each other, the woman was screaming. But, in between the call abruptly got disconnected.
With that call, Amanda clearly understood that somebody is desperate for help, that's why 911 got a call.
But, before 911 could trace up that call, it got hung in between. The dispatcher tried calling back to that number several times, but no one picked up. She knew that it was surely an incident of domestic violence, but the woman was not able to safely communicate that over a call.

Thinking on her feet, she quickly remembered a new emergency program called "Smart911" — just weeks old at the time. Actually, this feature allows dispatchers to send text messages to victims.
She just did the same and sent a text message to the caller's phone asking if any help is required or not?
After a moment, she was so much relieved to receive a message asking for help. She immediately dispatched authorities for help to her home and got the attacker under arrest.
