After Note 7 Phones, Now Samsung Washing Machines Are Also Exploding

#3 A Dreading Month For Samsung

It's not been long that Samsung Note 7 had been recalled by the company when there were reports that the phones have started to heat up and drain out that another headache is hovering on its head.

There are reports of exploding of Samsung top-loading washing machines too. A warning has also been issued in this regard to the users by Consumer Electronics Company and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

#2 Claims of the case

The warnings are issued after the action lawsuit in New Jersey by U.S. consumers who say their machines exploded during normal use.

These are some of the claims by the user

"One Georgia mom was pulling clothes from the dryer, with her 4-year-old son nearby, when she heard the boom and saw the damage. Another woman thought something had crashed through her roof. In one instance, metal shards flung into a hallway and ripped holes in the wall. Laundry rooms have flooded. A whole house shook."

The explosions are said to have occurred due to manufacturing defects which cause heavy vibrations. Know more about which machines have defected. You can protect yourself only by being vigilant

#1 Know Your Machine

If reports are to go by, the top-load washing machines manufactured between March 2011 and April 2016 are defected. So if yours is one of them, you can avoid the risk of the machine explosion.

According to Washington Post Reports, these vigorous vibrations cause the units to "become unfastened, resulting in a dramatic centrifugal explosion that destroys the machine and nearby property"

Looking into this, even the company issued a statement. This is what it said.

“In rare cases, affected units may experience abnormal vibrations that could pose a risk of personal injury or property damage when washing bedding, bulky or water-resistant items. Samsung is recommending that consumers with affected models use the lower speed delicate cycle when washing bedding, bulky or water-resistant materials. There have been no reported incidents when using this cycle."
