In the stressful chapters of life, it can be hard to get a good night’s sleep — whether you’re a human or a newborn foal.
Breeze, a horse foal, abandoned by his mother was found by farmers when he was just a few hours old.
He was brought to The Mare and Foal Sanctuary in 2013 but the baby couldn’t find his mother.

The Executive Director of the Mare and Foal Sanctuary said that “when members of the Sanctuary’s team arrived at the scene, Breeze collapsed and was in a state of severe shock and dehydration.â€
Like a kid without feeding on his mother, Breeze missed on the vital nutrients she would transfer to him - though sanctuary staff tried feeding him but failed in providing the affection a mother would provide.

May it be a human baby or a foal, it is difficult to sleep without your mum, similarly, during the night time Breeze became depressed. Left without his mother beside whom he would snuggle - he became a bit of an insomniac.
Syra says that “We always give our orphaned foals a giant cuddly toy as a companion†and “They’re just like human babies in the way it provides them with comfort.â€
So, the sanctuary came up with a unique and adorable solution.
Find out the solution…

To help Breeze cope up, the sanctuary came up with an idea of providing a massive teddy bear, around which he can cuddle and sleep. And as expected - Breeze was instantly able to sleep.
As a result, he’s become a lot more cheerful and has been able to get much-needed shuteye.
Too cute!
