Weddings are the most special days in the bride and grooms lives. We have heard stories of Bridezilla's and have numerous movies to show us the true picture (really?)This need for perfection and high stress timelines, often makes people do random things, things that don't even matter. And in no time, your special day turns into the worst nightmare!
THE DECISION
This 21 year old bride to be, Claire Dalton, left people shocked when she refused to walk down the aisle with her groom. Now, the gathering of over 350 people was left for a rude shock after the bride announced her decision. What led her to this point though? Everyone was puzzled...
THE REAL REASON
Claire is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and believes that this is against the basic ethics prescribed by the Lord. When this news came out, Claire and her family received a lot of flak for being so staunch and ignorant to the modern world.
SHE RETORTS BACK
Dalton lives a ethical life and to her principles, her fiance watching adult films was not at all acceptable. In a post she wrote, "Most of you have figured out by now that I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love my religion, and it brings me great joy and happiness. No, the “Mormons†are not a cult, and just because someone is religious and believes in God does not mean we automatically belong to a cult. It does mean that I believe in the highest God who loves ALL of his children, including my ex-fiancé and every single one of you."
DALTON MOVES ON
Fighting Lyme disease, managing her blog and being positive has helped Dalton move on majorly. While most of us would think of this as a ridiculous reason to end something beautiful, some champion her on for her strong belief systems. It takes a lot of courage to do something like this, guess its great that she found it to stand by her principles!
