The popularity of the song 'you raise me up' precedes the song itself. Written by the duo secret garden in 2002 the song failed to gain much popularity. It was then covered by Josh Groban in 2003, this version went on to become a smash hit in the United States.
The Irish band Westlife went on to popularize the song in the UK just two years later. The uplifting lyrics and simple tone made the song easy to love, it spawned many popular covers over the years. But this version of the song in this video might just be the best one yet.
