Haunted places always excite me. They are of a kind that always attract your attention and are the sexiest places for a person who loves thrills and fears no death. But then there are places which no matter how attractively haunting they are, no one is allowed to visit them. Here is a small list of such places.
The Ottawa Jail Hostel.
The going of jail and hostel together is making the place sound so darn strange. Well! Till 1972 the building was a jail which housed criminals, juveniles, and even mentally disturbed criminals. Adjacent to the jail was a yard where the bodies of the criminals were buried. In 1973, Hostelling International took control of the building, converted it into a hostel but kept the jail structure. Today, the students sleep in the cells and it is said that sounds of footsteps, heavy banging on the door is heard. Many have seen an old man with the Bible there too.
Hospital
After watching horror movies shot in mental hospitals, I dread even passing near it. Well! A girl narrated a frightening incident. She said that while she was passing by an abandoned mental hospital, she suddenly saw a blue light being switched on in one of the rooms. This scared the hell out of her as she saw no one around and that hospital was abandoned.
Island Of Dolls
And this one is actually making me feel that the world is no more safe! It is said that in a village of Mexico, a man hanged dolls in the forest because he wanted to appease the ghost of a small girl. Well! The man is gone but the villagers hear the dolls crying the whole night and the even feel that the eyes are following them.
Hashima Island.
Ever heard about the place? Known to be deserted for a long period, this island too is said to be a haunted one. The concrete buildings are all abandoned. People only come for trekking here and they have reported about the whispers and footsteps heard at night though there is no human being present there.
