Pale skin
Pale skin is considered attractive in various parts of Asia. In some countries in summer many people wear masks to protect their pale skin. They are attracted to vampires!
Overweight
In Mauritania in Northwest Africa, women are sent to farms where they eat up to 16,000 calories a day to gain proper weight. A woman must have lots of fold on her stomach in order to get noticed by a man.
High forehead
Women remove half of the hair on top of their foreheads, in order to achieve high forehead. In the Fula tribe in Africa also, the same custom is followed.
Crooked teeth
Perfect teeth are not straight in Japan but are crooked. It does look cute though!
Scars
In African countries like New Guinea, people decorate their bodies and faces with artistic scars. These scars are used to mark milestones for men and women such as puberty and marriage. A tattoo would have sufficed!
Red Skin & Stretched Lips
In Ethiopia in a tribe called Mursi girls stretch their lips with large disks. The larger the disk, the better her social status becomes. The Himba of northwest Namibia covers their body in red ochre and fat to protect their body from the sun.
Surgical Dressing on the Nose
To fix a deformed part of their nose some people get rhinoplasty. People line up for this procedure in Iran to get the dressing put on their nose. Great!
Monobrow
The monobrow is considered a sign of beauty and is seen as sexy, In some areas of Tajikistan. The locals of the area believe that a monobrow is an indication that a person will be very fortunate life.
A long neck
The longer a person’s neck, the sexier they look. In one of the regions of eastern Burma, women wear brass rings around their necks. This region is known as the “the country of giraffe women.†According to some legends, these rings protect the women from tigers but in reality, they are just a way of expressing their tribal identity. This is truly weird!
A heart-shaped face
In South Korea having a heart-shaped face is considered as one of the key ways to look sexy. For this many Koreans undergo complex operations which involves breaking the bones in the jaw into three pieces, removing the central part, and fusing the two others together to create a more pointed chin.
