The new SEAT Car Does not Start if the Driver is Drunk!
Car accidents are increasing around the world and it is worrisome. Safety is a major concern to everyone, especially for the young drivers. To reduce this problem a Spanish company has come up with, out of the world innovative car.
The SEAT is the Spanish manufacturer that has come up with the most innovative car in the new Leon Cristobal. This has increased the safety bar. This innovation mainly focuses on the accidents happening due to drink and drive, over speeding, seat belt compliance and many more. This car has about 19 safety devices.
Accident Prone Countries
About 30% of the accidents are due excessive speeding in Europe. 36% of it happens because of the distraction due to phones and other things, 25% is because of drink or drugs and 17% is due to not using the seatbelt.
One of the most helpful devices that are present in Leon Cristobal is testing the driver with alcohol consumption. A breathalyzer is connected to the ignition via Bluetooth. If the alcohol consumption of the driver is more than permissible limit it will not start. The driver is required to have a taxi which will have to pass the alcohol test along with face detection test. So that car knows who exactly is driving.
One more interesting innovation, driving will be intervened if the driver has any kind of distraction like talking on phone or texting. To leave the car all the passengers must be connected well. The normal looking car has adaptations of the current technology but 2 of the sensors were built in and it is an electrical marvel.
As a cherry on top, the parents get warning text on the phone if their young one’s take Leon out for a spin. A new eye tracker bar sensor senses the mood of the driver based on the expression. Basically, it is a camera on the dashboard. If the door is open then the ignition will cut off so that the sober person cannot help the non-sober to start the car. 2 more innovations are the ignition cut-off due to seat belt not worn and a speed limiter.
With this car into production, the technologies and software save a lot many lives.
