This Guy Refused To Pay For The Girl On Their First Date It Caused Quite The Internet Furore!
Dates are a tricky situation, especially first dates. Since you are only getting to know each other, it is essential to play it safe. But playing safe doesn't mean losing your self respect.
Clearly this woman has a whole different idea of dates even in today's age of feminism and equal rights! When the guy asked if she would go out with him again, this is what she had to say!
In the other messages that this Reddit user put up on his social media site, the truth was revealed. He hardly ordered anything and while she ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, she "expected" him to take care of the bill just because he was a "man" and was supposed to!
HOW RIDICULOUS IS THIS WOMAN!
She then went on to school the poor guy about her idea of a "gentleman"
ANALYSES OF THE SITUATION!
Now this post sparked a lot of intrigue, especially in the behavioural scientists and psychologists. Etiquette expert Alena Gill says that there has always been the rule of, "You invite, you pay." This is especially true when it comes to business meetings and lunches: the one who invites someone is the one who pays the bill. It doesn’t matter if the one who invites the other is a man or a woman. But it’s important to take the mentality and traditions of the country into account. In some European countries, people usually pay Dutch even if it’s a romantic date.
FEMINISM OR NO FEMINISM!
Some people believe that refusal of a man to pay the whole bill means that he is letting go of his responsibilities and asking a woman to step in. Feminists around the world would be turning in their graves right now!
In an age where everything is changing at lightning fast speed and people are treating others equally, it is appalling that some of us are yet stuck in archaic times!
REVIEWS ON THIS POST!
Shockingly a lot of women supported the girl here in being the douche that she was. In fact it was appalling that so many women came out in support of her and not the guy since feminism is all about equal rights and the whole point of it is that women take equal actions as men do, not just get equal pay/ respect. So in this case, clearly the women were supporting the wrong candidate!
Dutching the bill from the first date keeps the relationship healthy. Infact it shows that both have equal power in the relationship and thus are in a great relationship!
