#22 Untouched History
In this age of technology and fashion, finding something from the past is quite nostalgic. So, when redditor oktober75 and his family decided to finally open up the shoe shop owned by their great grandparents, they decided to share it with the world. After all, you don't find a vintage 1960's shoe store that hasn't been opened in 40 years just lying around everywhere.

#21 Well Hidden
The shoe store was well hidden from those on the street with the help of a security gate and sun's glare.

#20 Surprise
The family was actually surprised to learn of the store's existence and were most definitely not expecting this.

#19 Shoes
Rows and rows full of neatly stacked up shoes....some in boxes, others without.
Guess who ran the store?!

#18 The Great Grandmother!
The family's great-grandmother used to run the shoe store but closed it when she fell ill 40 years ago.

#17 Untouched
The grandparents were hoarders who just let the store be and left it untouched.

#16 Upstate New York
The family found many antique pieces like this wooden stove that was obviously used to keep the customers of upstate New York warm.

#15 Unbox
Like with all treasures...the temptation to open up closed things is great. And so the family starts opening up the boxes....
Let's see what they found!!

#14 The First Box
I wonder if by any chance there might be something other than shoes inside these boxes....

#13 It's shoes!
And they try it on!

#12 Style
The shoe style is pretty similar to the ones we wear now.

#11 The Second Box
Still hoping for gold or something that will blow me away!
And what's inside is......

#10 Ladies! It's for you!
A pair of woman's heels!

#9 You know...
There are actually quite a lot of people who would wear this style today too.

#8 The Third Box
It looks like a manly box....

#7 A Pair Of Heels?!
Well..look at that...
Moving on!

#6 Heading over to the men's section...
Some of those shoes are actually pretty 'now' huh?

#5 Typography
Gotta love the typography on the boxes!

#4 The Fourth Box
What kind of shoes does it hold...

#3 Not shoes!
But loafers! A pair of comfy looking loafers!!
But the thing about these shoes? Read on to know!

#2 Pretty Old..
These shoes have been exposed to a lot of things over these 40 years. Even if they were inside the boxes...

#1 Never Can Be Worn
Because of the heat and the dry air, most of these shoes can never actually be worn. The rubber and plastic on the shoes deteriorated and left the shoes stiff.
The only place they need to be in, is at a shoe museum!
