Woman Lives With 1000 Cats...! Camera Proved What People Found Unbelievable
Sixty-seven-year-old, Lynea Lattanzio has picked up so many furry friends that she has completely turned over her 4,200-square-foot, five-bedroom home over to them.
A generous donor, she left home and lives in a mobilize house, giving away her capacious house with an amazing view and a beautiful pool to her furry fellows.
She had worked as a vet for many years to help take care of them at the facilities, eventually bringing in more volunteers.
Lattanzio told Barcroft Media that “I’m at the top of the list of eccentric cat ladies.” She continues to say that, “I don’t think there has been anyone who has lived with 28,000 cats in 24 years. That’s probably a record.”
Lattanzio lives in a trailer on the property of Cat House on the Kings, the sanctuary that she runs. Cat House on the Kings is a largest free-range no-kill sanctuary in California.
It’s all because of this lady’s efforts that cats at Cat House on the Kings do not have to live with the threat of being euthanised if they do not find a home. All the cats at the sanctuary are available for adoption.
The sanctuary is home to about 800 cats and 300 kittens.
The cat queen has been divorced for more than 30 years. She started up the shelter with money she raised from selling her 1973 Mercedes and her two-karat diamond wedding ring.
“Back then I was single, had no kids and bought this 4,200-square-foot home. I started taking in cats but it wasn’t my intention to have 1,000- plus cats — but it has happened one step at a time.”

She also gets a lot of help from volunteers, including a few of her neighbours who live on the same dead-end street as the sanctuary.
For Lattanzio and her team of volunteers, the day starts at 4 a.m with early morning feedings and providing medical attention to any critically ill cats, "We have an ICU and a vet that comes once a week to check our animals."
While Lattanzio loves all the cats in her care, she aims to find them all new homes.
A caring lady has given up her home to more than 1,000 felines.
