This Woman Is Possibly The Smartest Woman In This World. Checkout Why...
We all know how difficult breakups can be. Parting ways with someone you were dating can be hard. Imagine how hard it would be to separate from someone you were married to from years?
After 37 years of marriage, Jake dumped his wife, Edith, for his younger, perkier secretary. His new young girlfriend wanted to move in with him in his multi-million dollar home immediately.
#4 3 Days To Leave
Just to fulfill his new girlfriend's wish of moving in, Jake gave Edith exactly 3 days to leave the house and move out of their lives. She spent the first day packing her belongings into boxes and crates.
On the second day, she had the movers come and collect her things (alcohol). Look at the image above. This is what she must've felt like while leaving. But what she did on the last day in the house is unbelievable.
Keep reading ahead to see what she did on the final day.
#3 The Last Day In The House.
The last day in the house was very emotional for Edith. She sat down for the last time at their beautiful dining room table by candlelight.
Later, she put on some soft background music and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar and an entire bottle of chardonnay, rescued from one of her bags! And this is when she randomly got an idea.
And the FUN Begins...
#2 The Idea Was...
After finishing her meal, Edith went into each and every room in the house, stuffing half-eaten shrimp shells dipped in caviar into the hollow of all the curtain rods.
Later, she cleaned the Kitchen and left forever. First a few days were like a dream come true for Jake and his new gf but later, the house began to smell.
Jake and his gf tried everything - cleaning, mopping, Febreze-ing and airing the place out. Vents were checked for dead rodents and carpets were steamed. Air fresheners were hung everywhere. And not just those little tree-shaped ones, either. Like, serious, industrial air fresheners.
#1 And Finally...
When nothing seemed to work, the couple had to stay in a hotel, and in the end they even replaced the expensive wool carpeting. Friends stopped coming in that house and the workers quit.
The smell became so bad that Jake and his gf decided to sell the house. A month later, even though they had cut their price by more than half, they could not find a buyer for their unholy stinky house.
This is when, Edith called Jake and asked how things had been since their split. He told her the tragic story of the phantom stench. She listened politely, all the while running over her plan in her head.
She went on to say that she missed her old home terribly and would be willing to reduce her divorce settlement in exchange for getting the house back. Knowing his ex-wife had no idea how bad the smell was, he agreed on a price that was about 1/10th of what the house had been worth, but only if she were to sign the papers that very day.
Edith got the deal of her life. A week later, Jake and his girlfriend stood smiling as they watched the moving company pack everything to take to their new home...
