Yes!
#8 Not A Very Happy Wedding Lunch
Even French people have something weird to perform in the weddings. This is an old French ritual, in which the bride and the groom are made to consume the leftover wine from the wedding dinner.
The worst part is that they are supposed to drink it from a replica of a toilet bowl. Disgusting? Ya!
#7 Bridesmaid Alert
Now this is one ritual which is fun for all the bridesmaids but not for the groom. For a groom in China to collect his bride on the wedding day, he must wade through a blockade of bridesmaids. He has to obey them.
They can ask him to do anything. Literally ANYTHING. And he'll have to do it to get to his bride. Cruel from a groom's perspective.
#6 Being Manglik
Indians, rather take the horoscope thing a little too seriously. There's this superstitious thing called 'Manglik'. People believe that if a woman is born 'Manglik', she is cursed. This curse must be broken before she is to marry a groom, or early death shall befall the groom.
Therefore, she is married off to a tree. People then destroy the tree and this is when the curse is broken. Scary, right?

Random sticky and disgusting things are then thrown on them. They are turned black using sprays and colors. Not fun for the newly wed couple, seriously!

Now finally we have something which isn't as bad compared to what we've seen so far.
In Sweden, attending a marriage is great fun. Particularly because if you are a guy, you get to kiss the bride and if you are a girl, you get to kiss the groom.
In this absolutely weird but fun ritual, the groom leaves the dinner hall after making an excuse. He is followed by the maids and female guests at the wedding. Outside the wedding place, the ladies try to plant a kiss on the groom. While this is going on, the male guests kiss the bride inside the wedding area. Amazing, right?
#3 Beating Him Down
Now this ritual that we are about to tell you actually started because of a superstitious belief. Later, it became popular because the friends of the groom started enjoying it.
They kidnap the groom from the wedding, tie his feet and beat him with sticks. This is considered to be a good luck and apparently strengthens the groom for his big first night.
#2 Money Game
Now Polish people love their traditions a lot. They have one that surrounds the big first dance. Once the groom has the first dance with the bride, a friend of the bride stands with a handkerchief.
Now this handkerchief is of great importance. Anyone who wishes to have the next dance with the bride puts money in that handkerchief. In the same way, the females in the wedding ceremony can add money to the handkerchief if they wish to dance with the groom.
Getting married in Poland? Time to get a bit rich!
#1 All About Tears
Now this is one weirdly wet and teary tradition followed in some parts of China. A bride in the Tujia People of China must cry an hour daily for one month prior to the wedding.
