Man Drives By A New House And Notices Something Startling. Do You See It?
Getting a new home sweet home? Chances are this is what it looks like. Sweet right? It's the perfect humble abode for your little family. But not all houses look like this. In fact, some are straight up strange.
Take this for instance. Reddit user liqidthc was driving by in his neighborhood when he noticed this house for sale. There was something so strange about it that he had to stop and click a picture of it.
Since then the picture has gone totally viral!
#3 What It Looks Like
So check this house. Looks perfectly fine right? Nothing's broken, everything is in place, the paint is shining, everything's perfect.
Except it isn't. There's a glaring mistake staring right back at you, looking you in the eye and you cannot see it.
I've gotta admit it took me a while to realize what's wrong with this house. When you see it you will go crazy! Keep reading to find out!
#2 That's What's Wrong
Notice the garage? Of course you do!
Notice the driveway? Of course you don't because there isn't one! There is one but it leads to the side of the house. Perfect if you want to run your car through your new house.
Another reddit give the folowing defense: "the driveway as shown in this picture acts as parking lot for patrons and sales employees and the garage acts as the sales office. Once the neighborhood is sold out they will sell the model and reconfigure the house to the 'correct' way."
This guy was given a jaw breaking reply by an estate agent...
"I've been a real estate appraiser for 13 years and I've never seen a model home that was purposely built with the intention of tearing it down or majorly altering it later. Model homes are there to showcase the available finishes and upgrades, and then they're sold "as is" when the development is close to being sold out. Having such an obvious error (which I would call out as a functional obsolescence in an appraisal and would render any buyers unable to obtain conventional, FHA, VA or USDA financing until it was fixed) would only make buyers hesitate as to the competency of the builder and his subcontractors. This was probably a mistake by the concrete guys, or maybe it was discovered too late that the driveway can't come out the front and the house will have to be altered."
I guess that's been settled and put to bed.
