According to cyber security expert Brian Krebs, who runs his own site Krebs on Security, hackers can easily use your boarding pass to find out your phone number, future travel plans, and frequent flyer number. If your boarding pass comes in the hand of any random smart person, he'll suddenly have enough information to hack your airline account.

The forensic experts at CBS pointed out that the encrypted bar code on your boarding pass can contain information such as your email address, home address and phone numbers. Very soon, it is possible that it will also contain some of your financial information.
