Those who travel by airplanes often would swear by the breath of freshness the moment they step out. Although it is faster than most means known to man, taking a flight means going through all those mundane hours without any idea of life on land, bad food and space crunches!

So, to compensate, we are offered pleasant, smiling beings as attendants, who cater to all our whims and fancies- from champagne in first class to cookies in economy!

But have you ever wondered what keeps these people up, about and happy? Surely it cannot have just been their impeccable training!

When a flight assistant was fired for posting her "Secret Room" rendezvous with her co-attendant, news went viral. We wonder why!

While people like us are stuck in stuffy coaches, elbowing and kicking for leg room, the airline crew has a secret room on the airplane to sneak off to. Shocking? Isn't it?

But now you know who to befriend on a flight the next time!

It is simple, these secret rooms act as escape chambers for the attendants. They can eat, sleep, talk and be "normal" unlike when they are in the coach.

Usually preferred by those on a break from their schedule, sometimes these chambers are also used by attendants to entertain first class guests. Or so rumor has it!

Read on to know more about this "secret" that the airlines never wanted you to know!

If you traveled often by this mode of transport, you'd have seen this sign here.

The sign clearly mentions for CREW ONLY and what happens within these doors is confidential matters that the airlines will rather have you be unaware of!

#3 The Room Itself!

Many airlines have a crew rest area above the passenger area just behind the cockpit. The Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 are two mainstream airplanes having these rooms.

Concealed and private, the rest areas are a haven for the hard-working flight attendants. In a Boeing, one of the overhead bins opens to a ladder joining this secret room. Bigger planes like the Airbus come equipped with beds for the crew members, so that the attendants can catch up on a nap while the plane is soaring across borders!

Pushing trolly's of food, drinks, magazines and trash can be exhausting, especially on long schedule flights. Thus, the rather large crew is put on shifts!

So if you ever wondered, mid-flight, where the charming attendant was, chances are high that she has passed out of fatigue in her 6 feet by 2.5 feet secret room cubicle!

However, the airlines would never reveal this aspect to you. Why? The reasons are multi-fold!

But in anycase, we shouldn't mind, as long as our attendants come back fresh as a daisy!
