Check out further pages to know in detail the exact meaning of all these codes.

## #6 Type

Lets start with the Letter that you see on the Tyre. First letter usually indicates the tire class. As LT means Light Truck and designates that the tyre is suitable for small payload trucks. Same way tyres for passenger cars are allotted the letter "P". So now you know what the first letter on your Tyre represents. What about the rest? what do they signify? Moving on. SO what comes next? Is it the 3 digit code? What exactly is that? Next three digits account for the section width of the tyre. ## #4 Aspect Ratio

So what is up next? Something that you didn't really think of! Those 2 numbers actually tells you about the height of the side wall. An aspect ratio for example of 45 means that the side wall height is 45% of the section width. Wow, now that is some information!!!Isn't it?

## #3 Construction

Now, between all this comes a letter. What does it signifies? This letter denotes the construction. If it is R it means radian which means layers of fabric run radially across the tyre. This is so cool!!! I will totally observe all this on my car tyres tonight!

## #2 Wheel Diameter

The next thing you see on a tyre is a number. This number is designated for the wheel diameter, which is usually given in inches. So if you ever wanted to know the diameter of the tyres of your car, you know where to look now. This is turning out to be so interesting now.
