The second Apple store opened just three hours after its first store at Tyson Corner at the Glendale Galleria in South California. The two stores together sold a combined $599,000 worth of products in their first two days.

Apple opened its first retail store in France in June 2008 just next to the Louvre art gallery in Paris. The store has a huge, inverted glass triangle to allow sunlight inside the store. There are two 30-foot glass windows sandwiched between the two entrances. The building maintains much of its original architecture, with the original stone walls left unchanged.
