At 98 it is often the case that your children have their own grandchildren. People tend to forget about old parents in such a time. But Mary likes to stay busy, she has a hobby of sorts.

"I get junk mail, I strip it. And after I strip it I cut it up small, put it in a bag, and put it for garbage." She then laughs before saying, "I have to do something, otherwise I'd go nuts."
