There's A Puzzle Book That Let's You Go To The Next Page Only After You Solve A Puzzle!
The Codex Silenda is a 5-page puzzle book that features five intricate puzzles. And the user has to solve each page’s puzzle to unlock the next page.
As the user progresses through the book,a journey in the form of a story unfolds before his eyes. The story is that of an apprentice in Da Vinci's Workshop who encounters the same Codex.
The Codex in the story acts as a trap set by Da Vinci to capture intruders who wish to steal his work. The only way the apprentice can be saved is by you, the one who has to solve all the 5 puzzles before Da Vinci get's back from his trip!

#6 The inspiration behind the Codex!
"The whole project started off as a senior thesis research project where [the] objective was to go and find a problem in the real world, research that problem and the current market around it and then solve the problem by designing a product or system that does just that," creator Brady Whitney said.
"Since my passion lies in the realm of toys and games, I decided to focus on puzzles and through my research I found that most tend to fall into one of two categories. [There are] those that are cheap and simple, that once you've solved them they lose their mystery and you never play with them again. Or you have those that are made by master puzzle makers [who] only produce them in limited numbers due to their handcrafted quality. It was my solution to address this huge gap by designing a puzzle that could combine the best of both categories."

#5 Mechanical Iris!
The first puzzle is the precursor to the story that lies ahead!
The first page in the Codex is called the Mechanical Iris.
It is named after the portal that pulls in Da Vinci's apprentice in the story. The apprentice is sucked into the portal when he tried to open the puzzle book!

#4 Rotating Maze
The second puzzle is called the Rotating Maze and the user will be presented with a rotating maze(thus the name), which has a central dais and a peg must be used in a unique, dual-like motion in order to traverse the maze, however the catch is that the dais also hides the maze from the user's view.
The challenge you will be faced with here is you can't see where you are going, so how in the world will you make your way through the maze?!

#3 Geneva Gears
The third puzzle is called the Geneva Gears.
The third page is called Geneva Gears, featuring a Geneva Wheel Mechanism and a series of gears hidden beneath a floor with various channels running throughout it. There are also six wheels which are also attached to gears of their own. The puzzler must place the gears in their respective places in order to unlock the page, but there are more slots than gears, so where do they fit?

#2 Paradox Sliders!
The fourth page has the unusual name of Paradox Sliders. There are fourteen sliders present and you are told that they all must be properly aligned in their respective positions in order to unlock the holding hooks and releasing the bolts. Guessing could work but that could also take forever, so how do you figure out the order of the sliders?

#1 The Final Puzzle- Cryptex Lock!!
The fifth and final page is all that remains between the apprentice & his freedom and you & your hard-earned reward. The problem is the page is locked with a four rune code in a language unlike any other. What do the runes even mean?
