Tons of other names were considered for the project like 'Joyless, Out of our Mind, Trouble in Mind, Headquarters, Life of Riley, and Down in the Dumps.' Finally the producers went with 'Inside Out'.

The crew of the film was huge. Tons of psychology experts were involved in the making of the movie. The writers wanted the facts to be perfect.

For example, when Riley's short-term memories created during the day were converted into long-term memories while she slept, this is actually believed to happen in real life. Most of the facts that you saw in the movie are perfectly accurate.

Kaitlyn Dias gave the voice for Riley. When she was hired for this part, she was 11 years old. She was 16 by the time the movie was completed and had gone through puberty.

Their were problems during the recording. Her voice had significantly deepened during recording, so she had to adjust the tone herself to make it seem like she was still a child.

Every emotion in the movie resembled a different shape. Joy is based on a star, Sadness is a teardrop, Anger is a brick, Disgust is broccoli, and Fear is apparently a raw nerve.
