10 Worst Costume Mistakes In Film History

Most certainly...

Hollywood And Costumes

Hollywood movies are all about stories, climax and oh! costumes! Sometimes the costumes just take our hearts away but sometimes some costumes just don't compliment either the body or are not historically correct. Let's have a look at some of the worst costume fails.

Braveheart

Studies reveal kilts were not prevailing in the 16th century Scotland. But then, Mil Gibson in the movie "Braveheart" can be seen rocking the kilt in the entire movie which is said to take place in the 1300's.

Django Unchained

Django Unchained

Jamie Pix is no doubt a great actor. But Quentin Tarantino should have done a great research on the costumes of that time. Jamie Pix, no doubt, slays the look with the sunglasses, but sunglasses were not intended in America until 1929 and Django Unchained has been set 70 years prior to the invention.

My Girl

My Girl

The movie is amazing but do you remember the Vada's mood ring? Okay! So that must be a time travel thing because these rings were invented three years later than the movie time.

Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade

Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade

The movie is about the time even before the WWII took place but then you see Harrison Fords fighting with the Nazis who are wearing war medals that were used during WWII.  In a need of very good research. Period!

Schindler’s List

Schindler’s List

European women in the 1940's were not into shaving their legs and armpits. But then, Schindler’s List show you women in the concentration camps who have not much too deal in life and so beauty is the main concern, hence, they have shaven legs and armpits.

Pirates Of The Caribbean

Pirates Of The Caribbean

Yeah! That's a guy with a cowboy hat in this scene. Either this is a mistake or this guy forgot that this movie was about pirates.

Singin’ In The Rain

Singin’ In The Rain

She looks beautiful in that pink goofy gown right? That was a kind of fashion that came up in the 1950's but the movie is of the 1920's time. Awkward time!

Seabiscuit

Seabiscuit

Yeah! Nice horseracing scene that is! But then you see that the jockeys are all wearing chainstraps, something that was not a part of horseracing until 1956. This movie stands in the 1930's. Again, research better please.

The Aviator

The Aviator

The movie is amazing and so is the fashion sense of Robert Gross. But don't you think that the thin, frameless glasses are a way too modern for the story of that period.

Dirty Dancing

Dirty Dancing

Dirty dancing is an amazing movie but with a simple flaw. The movie is set in the background of 1960's and Baby can be seen in cute denim shorts that were invented in the 1980's.we
