10 Weird Laws Enforced By Countries That Even Citizens Couldn't Help
The Greek government enforced this law in 2002 and even detained an internet cafe visitor who regularly played the game. Due to certain circumstances which affected the law, and it was changed under the pressure of the European Union. Though they can play at home but not in cafes.
Iran - No western hairstyles
Hairstyles are one thing that created havoc in some countries. Iran was among them that enforced such law and was against the western hairstyles. They even categorized some hairstyles to follow. It is said, men with beards are considered as sacred according to muslim community.
Malaysia- No yellow clothes
Wearing a yellow color can make you pay fine, though weird and very unreasonable one. It is said that no one has the right to enforce the law but here in Malaysia, when a group of the activist was against the unfair election system, wearing all yellow. Then the ministry of interior ordered such law to avoid yellow clothes for any event.
France- No ketchup
Well, this law has a valid reason to enforce it in schools. They are only allowed to serve it once a week, and even provide numerous amount of veggies for children's benefit. It is said rather than promoting fats in food, it is better to avoid it more likely.
Sweden- No dancing in the streets
Seems like dancing in the streets can get you in trouble, even the smallest move will make you to pay fine. In Sweden, without official permission, no citizen or outsider is allowed to even do a little gig on the street.
Italy- No slippers
Breaking a law in Italy would make you to pay $50 to $2,000 fine. With strangest laws enforcing for its citizens, this one is quite unusual with its weird demand. No travelers and not even their people can wear slippers because of the sound they make.
Australia- No changing lamp
There are such countries who believe in enforcing strange laws, whether it is for their people benefit. The law says that electric work should be done by professionals. Though they are only allowed to change a bulb but not the entire thing.
Turkmenistan- No black cars
Black has been consider as bad luck in this country, so they prefer white cars over black ones. Due to some superstitious law, they have to adopt bright colors.
Thailand- No walking or driving without clothes
Even though this one is kind of reasonable to enforce such laws because driving or walking without a shirt is somehow baseless. And even if they find people breaking the law, then they have to deal with some major problem.
Canada - No walkers for babies
