Being a celebrity has its own perks and drawbacks. Apart from all the fame and money you are also always in with the cool kids. But the cool kids don't always play nice. If you're thinking about having a relationship with a famous singer you can count on your name coming up in a song.

Inspiration: Eminem

This was the most succesful song on a popular back and forth between these two artists. The story goes that Eminem claimed that he and Mariah were an item, for "a good six, seven months". The lyrical dissing began on Mariah's insistence that they weren't, in fact, a couple.

Eminem referenced the star twice on his album The Eminem Show, Mariah threw it back to Mathers with a mention on 'Clown' with the lyrics - "should've left it at 'I like your music too'", Eminem played alleged voicemail messages from Mariah on his Anger Management tour and, eventually, Mariah released Obsessed. The video featured Mariah Carey dressed up as Eminem following Mariah around.
The final track was released by Eminem called 'The Warning'. Since then Mariah Carey has dropped the issue altogether.
