Woman Gives Free Tattoos To Survivors Of Domestic Violence
Scars and tattoos have a lot in common. They both invoke a lot of memories and have emotions attached to them. They say, that scars are the reminder of what you've have endured and survived but, often they are also the painful reminder of what have faced.
Hence, Brazil's Flavia Carvalho, who is a hobbyist tattoo designer is making most of it by making the scars beautiful. Her project named, "A Pele da Flor" (The Skin of the Flower), aims to help women to cover up and transform the scars from domestic abuse into something beautiful and hopeful of the days to come.
#4 A Broken Glass Scar
Starting off from painting a stitched belly scar, Flavia had also covered up this scar from a broken glass stab wound into a playful Catwoman.
"Each tattoo would act as an instrument for empowerment and a self-esteem booster.", she would say!

#3 The Internal Injuries
This woman had internal injuries and hence had to undergo different surgeries which were visible as scars. Hence, Flavia had to do a lot of work to make it pretty. But her hard work paid really well. This looks incredible!
#2 The Scar Looks More Beautiful
This woman's boyfriend stabbed her in the street. Hence, Flavia had made the tattoo by covering up the scar with a bright splash of color,a defiant wolf, and a woman at peace.

The cherry blossom covers the dreadful scar that reminded her of the bullet shot by her former boyfriend.
